    Telemedicine Disclaimer

Important information about receiving care through telemedicine.

    Effective Date: February 2026

    Availability

Telehealth visits are available statewide across New York. Patients must be located within the state at the time of their visit, per state and federal regulation.

    Consent

By scheduling a telemedicine visit, you consent to receiving care via audiovisual technology. Telemedicine may not be sufficient for all clinical assessments, and in-person evaluation may be recommended. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting your right to future care.

    Technology

You are responsible for having a device with a working camera, microphone, and stable internet connection. All telemedicine sessions use HIPAA-compliant, encrypted communication channels.

    Emergency Notice

Telemedicine is not for medical emergencies. If you experience chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, or any emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

    Privacy

Your telemedicine visit is subject to the same privacy protections as an in-person visit under HIPAA. Ensure you are in a private location during your visit.
